Writing screenplays for TV and Film
Peter Oluoch, the Landlord
Emily Kirui, Emily's sister
Lately, I transitioned into scriptwriting BTW.
It's actually a good thing I started with fiction books before learning how to develop screenplays.
What’s real real is — I’ve always been a binge-watching kind of guy since I was young,
mostly into TV shows and movies.
So, understanding how to structure Acts and Beats in a storyline came naturally when I started developing scripts.
Right now, we’ve been adapting the C0nn3ctB4ck book series into a TV show.
I also just wrapped up a film script centered around the ongoing abductions of youth
in Kenya by a task force led by the intelligence services — where many of whom ended up tortured or dead.
The script is currently in polishing stage as a SPEC script,
and we’re now working on a Pitch Deck — especially the Tableau Vivant phase of the design.
I’ve also been considering writing the film as a novel (reverse adapting :D ),
just to have both formats out there in case one doesn’t land.
As a Black man, things are never easy for us — we’ve got to work twice as hard,
no matter how good we are at something.
And so, I actually acted in the Tableau Vivant for Beyond Viral as Peter Oluoch — and funny enough,
I had to strap on one of those big bellies.
I didn’t even realize how fit I’d gotten until then :D.

It was a fun experience, and we’re hoping the film gets picked up by a good production company.
Assembling Airsoft gear has been a key part of pulling off this
level of storytelling — especially with no local company handling gunsmithing for film studios.
For this scene, we used a newer Glock 17 with a worn-out clip,
just like it was written in the script, as shown in the photo.

Angie, as shown earlier, is Emily’s older sister in the story.
As the SPEC SCRIPT wraps up, she digs out her dad’s Colt Python — intent
on using it against someone she believes doesn’t deserve to live.

For once, we want to make a movie that really shows the dark side of
bad advisors to the presidency, and the political consequences citizens
face under a regime that’s borderline dictatorial.
This story is dedicated to the abducted youth,
battered activists, and jailed or beaten journalists in Kenya
since the new government came into power.
